Empowering Healthy Lives
Health Empowerment Network of Maryland, Inc. (HENM) in collaboration with our community partners and stakeholders will conduct Monthly Health Checks in 2024. The Monthly Health Checks will primarily focus on increasing health awareness, addressing health disparities, providing prevention/intervention services, and addressing health-related social needs.
Each event will target specific health-related initiatives that will decrease health inequalities and increase health equity within the 20743 zip-code region. Community collaboration is imperative, therefore, HENM will partner with civic associations, the faith community, county & state government officials, as well as with other medical providers in our areas to ensure success in each event.

Our Motto:
To empower people to have better health
-
Monthly Health Check.
-
The First Saturday of each month from 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM.
-
Throughout the 20743 Zip Code area, which is the formerly designated Health Enterprise Zone. Health Empowerment Network of Maryland, Inc. will travel to preselected areas and set up “Health Check Stations” with its flagship mobile command bus - The Health Navigation Unit – One or (HNU-One) encouraging and working with residents to do a monthly health check.
-
Regular health checks can identify many early signs of health issues. When you have a health check, our licensed providers will talk with you about your medical history, your family's history of disease and your lifestyle, including your diet, weight, physical activity, alcohol use and whether you smoke.
-
We address healthcare disparities by fusing the visitation gaps between patients and their providers. We improve access to consistent care for under resourced populations, and disinvested communities. We ensure equitable and inclusive services to all including those with limited mobility, differently abled individuals, and seniors with complex chronic diseases and mobility problems.
